Poster-only Abstract Submission Deadline: June 22, 2013
Poster abstract submission will be open between May 27th and June 22nd, 2013.
Please ensure that you do not miss this deadline to submit your poster abstract.

The Organizing Committee cordially invites you to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. Abstracts should be submitted by presenting authors online via the link below. We will accept only one abstract per each presenting author. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Topics Committee and assigned to an appropriate session as either an oral or poster presentation. Your abstract will be reviewed only if your registration is completed by paying the registration fee.

All presenters are required pay the registration fee in full by June 22, 2013 (abstract submission deadline). Abstracts will only be acknowledged and reviewed after registration is completed (payment in full of registration fee)

   

Abstract Formats

Abstracts are to be submitted in PDF format from the LaTeX or Microsoft Word templates provided below. The PDF output should look like this.

Abstract Submission Guidelines & Requirements

  1. All abstracts must be submitted electronically, using the links above. Abstract submissions via fax or regular mail will not be accepted and acknowledged. If you experience any difficulties using online submission, please send the PDF file to the Secretariat (abstract@statphys25.org) Via email.
  2. Authors may submit the abstract once they sign-up through the online registration link. However, the abstract will be acknowledged and reviewed only after the registration is completed (payment in full of the registration fee).
  3. Abstracts should be submitted by presenting authors. Each registered presenting author may submit only one abstract.
  4. Abstracts should be prepared in English.
  5. Single spacing should be used.
  6. Maximum length is 250 words.
  7. Omit degrees and titles (Dr, Prof etc.).
  8. Abbreviations must be spelt out in full at the first mention followed by the abbreviation in parentheses.
  9. Do not use subtitles or sections e.g. Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
  10. Authors may further edit and modify submitted abstracts until the submission deadline. It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that their text does not contain typos or grammatical errors.
  11. No proofreading will be carried out, and no corrections will be possible after the submission deadline.

Steps for Submitting Abstracts

Notification of Acceptance

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Topics Committee according to standard reviewing procedures. Notification of acceptance will be sent out via e-mail to the presenting authors by May 15, 2013.

Withdrawn Abstracts

  • The submission of an abstract implies your consent to have it published on the conference website.
  • If you have to withdraw an abstract from the web, please notify the Secretariat in writing (via email or fax) as soon as possible.

Policy for Abstract Submission

The policy of STATPHYS is to accept all abstracts by registered participants which correspond to a professional contribution to the broad field of Statistical Physics. A reviewing process will decide between an oral contribution and a poster presentation, and reassignment to an appropriate topic, if necessary.

In case you need an acceptance letter of your abstract for administrative purposes such as for a travel permit or payment of the conference fee, please send us a request to statphys25@statphys25.org and we will send you a generic statement. The decision between contributed talk (oral) and posters will follow later (around 15 May, 2013).
